I regret coming to planetside 2 so late in its life.

Slowly shutting down all their future projects to make more money *now* again and again. Then later wondering why they arent making money. Big brain move. Used to love PS2 back in the day, would play a sequel in a heartbeat.

How did these asshats hire someone like wrel but not you?

As silly as it sounds a lot of the “fun” was removed from the game. It’s incredibly hard to kill people now. Max crash was removed, og construction which had whole outfits devoted was nerfed, hesh was nerfed, air to ground, everything feels like throwing soft balls at people. No impact. All in the name of keeping around newer players, decrease insta deaths. But did it actually? The pop is worse off than ever.

There’s so many weapons and cool stuff the average new player would never be able to use. They need make weapons and equipment easier to get, while still expanding upon cosmetics and other non combat related items. As a free to play player, I’ve still not unlocked everything on my TR main.

Everything that made planet side 1 good. Generator holds, hack enemy vehicles to steal them, loot enemy bodies for weapons and store them in a lock for later use, more faction only vehicles, lock out enemy planets and you can spawn their vehicles, slower more tactical combat like the first game the list goes on.

It died because they took everything that made planet side 1 good and ruined it. Planet Side 1 generator holds, galaxy drops, looting enemy bodies for weapons, storing ememy weapons in lockers for later battles, hacking enemy vehicle to drive, slower more tactical combat and when you take enemy home world you get to spawn the enemy vehicles until they take their home world back. I forgot also the engorcer was an NC only vehicle the Chain Gun on vehicles was a TR only weapon ETC.

planetside 4 can not exist while whoever is dev is too afraid of angering vets. they must upend the status quo for 4 or 2 to succeed beyond milking a few whales. headshots, redeployside, vehicle ai have had their time, scaring away new or casual players but ps prolly wont change so now battlebit fills that hole for me

Wrel helped wreck the game. He didn't save it and deserves nothing for that. This is also pretty much spam for a commercial product.

They should balance the revive grenade I'm a medic main and haviing 4 of them is pretty OP since they have a big AOE. They're radius should be massively nerfed so that it can be harder to accurately bounce them to a body.

need to take this down. Hacking is worse since this " there's no hackers in this game, you're imagining things" video. AoD and Goblin are notorious for having hitbox/lag switch and aim hacks. People complaining about the players in chat and it's the same outfits. Not only that, they take a ton of damage and don't die, even shot from behind They have little shield taken down. On top of that, every time I get one shot with assault weapons or lmg's from these guys, perfect headshots with no misses and they aren't even in view, they're behind obstruction barriers or below you under a platform or level. One on one I'm shooting them in the face at 2feet away and they drop me missing shots at my body never even hitting me. There's always this slight stutter when I'm engaged with them in CQC like it's aiming at them but the shots go to the side. As soon as I get killed like that I already know the kill cam is going to show me AoD or Goblin player because it's not how 99% of engagements with other players go in game. They stand out like a sore thumb. Same goes for the mysterious grenade that kills you when you're 30 feet above the player in a tower and they Captain America hit you from the first level, under 2 stories of floors and the nades don't bounce and roll just kill you with no indicator and mysteriously go through structure. Guess who comes up on the kill cam? btw i'm in a 45ms ping so it isn't my internet. Been playing for years and it's always the same outfits.

easy, remove C4 as a utility for the Light Assault. It should have never been allowed to be introduced to that class. Don't even buff the rocklet rifle, leave it as is. It's more than capable of taking an entire tank on its own.

Don't forget it's great for Connery players who are worried about the grind of starting over on Emerald

A good way to balance the sundy could be to have it lock in place once deployed. Then after a short timer where you could back out of the deploy, the durability kicks in, just in case you hit the button on accident. Then it's a one time use and might cut down some on cheese.

Double XP wont bring back the veterans. What would bring them back is something to grind/level up. Most vets already maxed out two ASP 2 soldiers for every faction. The only thing that might bring em back is ASP 3. Or Planetside 3 ....

Combine directive progress for weapons and their variants. i have 5 ns15s and i dont even use the endeavor version cause its directive is crap

Unsure because 2x XP tends to burn people out, i'd say ISO needs a new system before certs do, a slow burn isn't that bad and with missions you can inject goals and boosts. I think 2x is a bit harsh, i agree with others that lowering what gets you a cert is probably the best way though. But everytime you say anything like this a turbovet comes from the bushes and says 'you can get everything in 2 weeks if anything it has to be longer' and then you get nowhere and im tired of trying to say it at this point.

They should give new players double XP for 2 weeks, so this gives them an incentive to play in those 2 weeks and learn the game. Also they should make the first 25 levels require less XP to reach that level, because I feel for a new player the game is very harsh for the first 25 levels. Also they should make certs easier to gain with XP. Now for Veterans your ideas are interesting! They could make also new cool comestics that you can buy with E7 or certs so Veterans have new things to grind and put the price high so it takes time. Also I believe that the special event directives like Halloween directive could happen more often with new stuff to grind

New players are the most important thing for an MMO's health. Sure, veteran players are important too but veterans will leave over time. If all you have is a core group of veterans and no new players coming in, eventually you'll be left with a dead game. I would love to see PlanetSide 2 grow and even succeed. It's such a unique game and to be honest far less frustrating to play than dealing with the toxicity and one sided matches I get in games like OW2. But it's hard for new players to get into and that I feel is one of the things that has always held the game back. NOT saying the game should be dumbed down or anything like that, but it should be easier for new players to feel a sense of progress and improvement within that first 2 hours which is all the time you really have to capture the attention of a player in an MMO.

I think its time connery and emerald had a merger. My issue is finding an outfit to play with. If anyone is in an active late night outfit on connery ill join ya.

I've never found the grind in Planetside to be excessive but I know a lot of people do. Goals to strive for is what keeps me coming back. It's been 4 years, I finally made BR100 and unlocked ASP (slow I know, I've stopped sniping and that really helps exp gain). What now? I'm auraxing weapons and trying to get directive weapons. I haven't been around for so long I've got nothing left to grind for. The way things are going lately, I'll probably never get to that stage which is kinda sad. But I digress... For players who have nothing left to grind for, hell yeah, give them a reason to keep playing/come back to playing. I don't even care what it is. Just get big, crazy battles going and keep this thing going. Give them way more than what I've got, I don't care. I'll take 'em all on. And lose and have fun doing it XD For new players to stick around, giving them a ton of extra certs sounds like a good idea. There will probably be some people out there thinking "hey wait, I had to grind like hell to get all that stuff and now it's this easy?" But honestly, is a day 1 noob with a commissioner gonna take you out 1v1? Get people in the door and give them a damn good time playing a one-of-a-kind game. Everybody wins. They're happy, we're all happy and Toadman look like heroes and turn it into a profit for them somehow. One final thought. They are in dire need of solid new content. Based on the roadmap I’ve seen. XP won’t matter much if there is no excitement to draw the masses back. It’s awful hard to raise the dead.

I think it should be 2 separate vehicles. one for spawn and one as vehicular support.

I'm so sad about the state of planetside 2. A game with so much potential squandered, extorted and sold. I would love to take the helm of this franchise.
